What it shows

One boxplot per competition type, over the points awarded per match. Winners and losers are plotted separately, which is what makes the asymmetry between gaining and losing visible.

How to read it

• Box: Contains 50% of values (from Q1 to Q3)
• White line: Median value (50th percentile)
• Diamond: Mean value
• Whiskers: Extend to min/max within 1.5x IQR
• Hover: Shows detailed statistics

Orders of magnitude

The ranges below were measured when this indicator was built (December 2025) and are given to tell an ordinary box apart from an outlier. They are not a current reading, and they are not split by region: the chart itself is the source of truth.

Winners typically gain:

• Tournament: +2.5 to +3.5 points
• Interclub: +2.8 to +3.4 points
• Mini/Fun Liga: +1.5 to +1.7 points
• Friendly: ~0 points

Losers typically lose:

• Tournament: -0.7 to -1.0 points
• Interclub: -0.8 to -0.9 points
• Mini/Fun Liga: -0.4 to -0.5 points
• Friendly: ~0 points

Data scope

Filters:

• Year: View all years aggregated or monthly breakdown for a specific year
• Gender: Filter by men, women, or all players
• Age group: All, Junior or Senior. Junior means age 18 or under at the match date; Senior means over 18.

Exclusions:

• Matches where either player is international
• Matches before 2015
• Matches not validated (only completed results carry points)

Special rules:

• At-least-one-player semantics: the Gender and Age group filters match a match when at least one of the two players qualifies. A men-vs-women match therefore appears under both Men and Women; a junior-vs-senior match appears under Junior. As a result the per-gender counts do not sum to the total. Junior and Senior are mutually exclusive (Senior = no junior in the match), so those two do sum to the total.
