About the data
Purpose
Understand how deep the competitive core really is, by separating the many players who enter one or two tournaments from the few who compete regularly.
What it shows
One bar per participation count: the first bar holds every player who entered exactly one tournament, the second those who entered two, and so on.
How to read it
- X axis: Number of tournaments a player participated in
- Y axis: Number of players with that participation count
- A typical long-tail distribution is expected: many players attend only 1-2 tournaments, while few attend 10+
Data scope
Filters:
- Year: Filter by tournament year
- Player club: Filter by the player's affiliated club
- Region: Squash Romandie or Swiss Squash (by the organising club's region)
- Organizing club: Filter by the club organizing the tournament
Exclusions:
- International players
Special rules:
- A participation is counted when a player is registered in a tournament draw (status active, excluding walkovers). Multiple draws within the same tournament count as one participation.
